Details of the Racing
Racing
takes place on a boat for boat basis within the
established classes and on a handicap system.
With
the exception of January and February there is
racing on most Sundays of the year.
A
Wednesday evening series is run during the summer
months. Trophy events and regattas form an
important part of the sailing calendar.

Youth Sailing
DYS
organises a series of racing events for youth
sailors throughout the County.
High
Peak Regatta
An inter-club
competition raced between the four dinghy sailing
clubs in the High Peak Borough.
This
is an annual event hosted in turn by each club.
Southport
Junior 12 Hours
National
event for juniors on Southport's Marine Lake.
Southport
24 Hours
National
meeting for dinghy sailors held on Southport's
Marine Lake. An inter-club event and weekend
festival, seriously contested among the main
contenders, a cult amongst the also-rans!
RYA
Youth RIB Competition
New
competition started last year by the RYA to
encourage safe use of powerboats by juniors. Click
